MQB Front Mount intercooler upgrade to replace the OEM intercooler.

The OEM intercooler is prone to heat-soak during spirited driving especially on tuned vehicles.

As the factory intercooler is behind the airconditioning condenser, and has low fin and core density it easily results in heatsoak and in turn, power loss.

The factory intercooler is a tube and fin design, therefore replacing it with a bar and plate design core allows for better flow with the FMIC is beneficial.

To ensure optimal power consistently, a true front mount intercooler is always a must-have modification when looking for performance out of your A3/S3/ Mk7.

Increased volumetric capacity, larger core density and over-all surface area of the front mount intercooler results in a higher level of cooling capability.

25 - 60 degree C intake air temperature reduction can be achieved depending on the hardware, state of tune and environmental conditions.

The kit consists of:

> Large custom made FMIC;

> Custom charge pipes linking the existing charge pipes to the front mount intercooler;

> Compatible with vehicle with auxiliary water coolers (7R/7.5R/Clubsport)

> Custom bracketry mounting the cooler without cutting apart the OEM crash bar or the bumper;

> All couplers and fastening hardware;

Compatible with both factory & aftermarket charge pipes.
